Fake emails about Duke Energy jobs

Scammers pretending to be Duke Energy recruiting department representatives have been emailing bogus, unsolicited offers of employment to many individuals, including citizens of other nations.

The scammers seek personal identification information and sometimes monetary fees from the recipient – in exchange for a fake promise of a Duke Energy job in the U.S.

If you receive such an email, please:
  • Disregard the email.
  • Do not send personal identification information or money to the email sender – or to any linked websites referenced in the email.
  • Do not open any email attachments or click on any links, which might contain computer viruses or malware.
  • Such emails are never sent by Duke Energy or any of its employees, officers or agents.
