Upcoming Events

Out of an abundance of caution to your health and ours, the World of Energy is temporarily closed to on-site group visits and events, but virtual presentations for school groups and civic groups are available. To schedule a virtual presentation, download the registration form and email the form to the World of Energy. Questions about virtual presentations? Call 800.777.1004 and follow the prompts to reach a World of Energy staff member.

In addition to the year-round activities available at the World of Energy, we are constantly hosting special community events and celebrations. Whether catering to Boy Scouts, nearby senior citizens, school groups or businesswomen, there’s likely an upcoming event that you'll enjoy!

  • Are you an elementary-school student looking for a little spark?

Roper Mountain Science Center will conduct its virtual “Arcs and Sparks” program at 10 a.m., Friday, April 1. Experiments in this hair-raising program will show how electrical energy can be transformed into other kinds of energy and how electricity and magnets are related. With the help of the instructor, participants will learn how to create a human circuit, lift heavy objects with magnets, push or pull objects with electricity and more.
