If you know ahead of time that you will miss your due date, this payment option may be for you. Extend your payment due date by up to 10 business days to avoid late fees.

Request a specific due date on a one-off basis
Open to customers not currently on an installment plan

Check your eligibility by signing in to your online account. Once you’re on your online account dashboard page, go to the Billing & Payments section at the top of the page. From there, select Payment Assistance Options and select Due Date Extension to get started. Please note, if you do not see this option offered, your account number is not eligible for this option.

This plan provides flexibility for customers who know ahead of time that they will not be able to pay their bill by the due date. Due Date Extension is a good option for customers that need additional time to settle their invoice, without having to pay late fees.
The account must be active, not have an overdue balance and is not scheduled for disconnection. Customers currently on an installment plan or who have been on this program more than two times in a 12-month period are not eligible for a Due Date Extension.

If you cannot pay your bill by the extended date, it is considered past due and will receive a late payment charge. The account balance will be due immediately. Need to pay off a larger amount due over a specified time? Visit Installment Plans to see if you are eligible.
This option can be applied for twice within a 12-month period (a rolling 12 months). In the event of a second Due Date Extension, the 12-month period begins on the date of the first Due Date Extension.
