Winter Storm Update
Duke Energy has 3,500 personnel restoring power to thousands of North Carolina customers affected by this week's snowstorm. Damage to the power delivery system was due to falling trees and tree limbs.

Estimated times of restoration are available by viewing the company's outage map.Most customers should be restored by 11:45 p.m. Friday or sooner. In isolated cases of extreme damage, the company will call customers whose outages may exceed that timeframe.

We understand how difficult it is to be without power. Our mission and commitment is to provide timely, accurate information as quickly as possible so that our customers can make plans and weather the storm.

If you see a fallen power line or safety hazard involving our equipment, call Duke Energy at 1-800-POWERON and select Option 2 or contact your local emergency services immediately. Keep others away until help arrives. For your safety, do not touch a power line or anything touching a power line such as limbs, tools, and toys. Power lines that have fallen are dangerous and should not be moved.
