Enroll in Clean Energy Connection before October 31st, and for every kilowatt of your new subscription, we’ll work with One Tree Planted to plant a tree in the Lake Wales Ridge State Forest.2 Longleaf pine and south Florida slash pine will be planted as part of this effort.

Nestled in Polk County Florida, Lake Wales Ridge State Forest is home to threatened and endangered plant and animal species including the Florida scrub-jay, gopher tortoise, papery Whitlow-wort, Florida blazing star, and cutthroat grass.

The project is expected to improve the quality of recreational opportunities and improve the soil and water for the plants and animals that live here. Enroll today and add to the more than 7,000 trees being planted on behalf of Clean Energy Connection's current subscribers.

The basics of Clean Energy Connection

Program Details

The initial credit rate on your bill will be approximately $0.04 per kilowatt-hour (kWh) and will remain at that level for the first 36 months. Starting with the 37th month of continuous enrollment, the rate will increase 1.5% annually, eventually exceeding your fee and delivering a positive return. The longer you remain in the program, the more you are projected to save on your bill.

The actual monthly bill credit amount will vary seasonally, as solar energy production is greater during months with more direct sunlight.

Income-qualified customers

If you participate in any of these or related programs you may be eligible for immediate bill savings with the income qualified component of Clean Energy Connection: Supplemental Security Income (SSI), Medicaid, Temporary Assistance for Needy Families (TANF), SNAP-EBT, Low Income Home Energy Assistance Program (LIHEAP), and Duke Energy Neighborhood Energy Saver.
