Multi Unit Dwelling Chargers

Multifamily Location EV Charging
Help attract tenants with sustainable on-site amenities.
Install EV chargers at your
multifamily site.
EV chargers provide an attractive amenity to residents of multifamily dwellings such as apartments, condos and townhomes and will become a necessity as more people start driving EVs and need to charge at home.
These on-site charging stations provide approximately 15 to 30 miles of range per hour of charging depending on vehicle type and are ideal for charging in a multifamily setting.

How Park & Plug Works
We are looking for 25 site locations in North Carolina to install free Level 2 chargers in multifamily dwelling sites. Drivers of EVs that live in a condo or apartment need a way to charge their EVs while they are at home. As part of the Park & Plug program, Duke Energy will provide turnkey station installation including the equipment, installation, warranty and network connection services free of charge.
Once a host site has been selected and the host agreement has been signed, Duke Energy will contract with a vendor to install the new charging equipment. Duke Energy will own and operate the charging station network and will require access (easement).
