Find the perfect spot for your business

There are multiple ways to find a site. You can either contact us or use the resources below to narrow it down before you contact us.

Strategic Site Inventory (SSI) Program

In partnership with a geospatial consulting firm, Duke Energy supports the identification of optimal raw land sites well suited for light and heavy industrial development through the SSI Program. As of 2016, this program has resulted in the discovery or validation of primarily industrial and some commercial properties throughout 31 Florida counties. The program considers transportation and energy infrastructure, cultural and community impacts, wetlands impacts and environmental permitting considerations as well as site configuration and parcel assembly. This is a feeder program for Duke Energy’s Site Readiness Program and similar programs around the state.

Florida Site Readiness Properties

The Duke Energy Site Readiness Program is intended to identify, assess, improve and increase awareness of industrial sites in the Duke Energy service territory. The goal of the program is to increase the inventory of good industrial sites throughout the territories that Duke Energy serves, as well as to advance the state of readiness of these sites. • Over 313 Sites have been evaluated since 2005, spread out over all of the states that Duke Energy serves.
  • Since the program’s introduction to Florida in 2013, 34 properties have been evaluated.
  • To date, 69 large projects have been won on sites evaluated through this program (GITI Tire, Sierra Nevada Brewery, Clearwater Paper, etc.) resulting in approximately 13,500 jobs and $10 billion in capital investment (includes projects announced but not yet started).
  • Many of the sites have been or are in the process of being developed into active industrial parks.
