No, online payments have no limits and no fees. You may pay 24/7 using your credit card or ACH.

The mailing address for check payments is located on your invoice. 

Check payments will be processed within 5 business days from the time the check is received.
 
Regardless of your payment method, providing the invoice number or including the payment coupon with your check payment will reduce processing times. 

PLEASE NOTE: Physical mailing address for CIAC payments is different than mailing address for utility payments.

Duke Energy accepts online CIAC payments via credit card, ACH, as well as mailed checks and wire transfer.

Customer invoice will have specific instructions for all payment types.

The most efficient payment options for CIAC are:

• Paying online by credit card or ACH via E-Bill Express
• Overnighting a check to the physical jurisdiction address on your invoice

You will receive a hard copy of your invoice that contains the online payment site website address, as well as an emailed invoice with a live link to the payment website.

ACH instructions are located on the invoice. When using the ACH instructions on the payment coupon, make sure to reference an invoice number to avoid unnecessary delays. 

Regardless of your payment method, providing the invoice number or including the payment coupon with your check payment will reduce processing times.
