As the N.C. Department of Transportation works to widen N.C. 150 to accommodate more traffic and reduce congestion, Duke Energy is relocating equipment in the area to support this important work. The project includes upgrading and replacing poles and wires, managing trees and vegetation, and improving our system to support growth in the area.

The construction is taking place on a 15-mile stretch of N.C. 150 from the N.C. 16 Bypass in Catawba County to just west of the U.S. 21/N.C. 150 interchange in Mooresville, in Iredell County.

We expect this project to be completed by Fall of 2022. Thank you for your patience as we work to support local infrastructure improvements, a better commute, and improve our service to customers in the area.
