Powering Pinellas: Environment
The Duke Energy Foundation provided $170,500 in grants to four Pinellas County-based environmental agencies since 2015, part of nearly $667,000 invested throughout the state. The grants fund environmental projects, as well as educational and research programs.

2017 Pinellas County Environmental Grant Recipients:
- Clearwater Marine AquariumTurtle tracker: According to CMA, satellite tracking is beneficial for research purposes including the migration of sea turtles, their foraging behavior and much more. View the tagged turtles CMA has released through its program that Duke Energy helps fund. ($50,000)
- Friends of the Largo Nature Parks, Inc. ($23,500)
