No. Only authorized users of the Duke Energy Progress account can enroll in EnergyWise Home.

No, you can never refer yourself. However, you can enroll yourself and start receiving the benefits of EnergyWise Home.

The qualifications are the same as when you joined the program. You must be a Duke Energy Progress customer and you must own the qualifying appliance – central air conditioning unit, heat pump with heat strips and/or electric water heater – where EnergyWise Home will be installed. If you are unsure, don’t worry – your referral will be qualified later in the enrollment process.

We hope you’ll spread the word about this free, easy and important program to as many of your friends and neighbors as possible! For the referral program, you can get credit for up to four referrals or a total of $100 each year.

We suggest you contact your referred friend to see if they were installed. You can expect your $25 to be delivered by mail 30 to 45 days after their installation.

Simply call 866.541.8886 to enroll. During the phone enrollment, you will be asked to provide your friend’s account number. Unfortunately, if your friend has not given you their account number, they cannot receive credit for referring you.

If it has been over 45 days since your referred friend was successfully installed, then contact us at 866.541.8886.

Yes, if you have been successfully installed and are an active EnergyWise Home customer, you can now receive the additional benefits of the customer referral program.

Referral payments are one-time checks, which are paid within 30 days of a successful installation. With the referral program, you get a one-time check for $25 for each successful referral, up to $100 each year. As a participant in EnergyWise Home, you also get up to $75 every year in bill credits. That means you can receive a total of up to $175 each year from EnergyWise Home.

Your friends must give us your name and your Duke Energy Progress account number in order for us to ensure you get credit for the referral.
