Central Corridor Gas Pipeline Extension Schedule

While this project has been part of Duke Energy’s long-term plan for more than 15 years, the timing and project details were developed through a comprehensive study completed in 2015. Preliminary routes were selected in early 2016. In August 2017, Duke Energy requested a delay in OPSB’s procedural schedule to allow more time to conduct additional environmental investigations along the alternate route.

Project Milestones Completed

  • February 2016: Met with community leaders along possible routes.
  • March and June 2016: Held three public open houses.
  • July 2016: Met with Hamilton County leadership in public meeting.
  • September 2016: Submitted OPSB application.
  • January 2017: Held fourth public open house.
  • Winter/Spring 2017: Continued design and surveying/soil borings. OPSB resumed review of Duke Energy's application.
