If you like receiving the electronic bill, enroll in Email Bill Delivery to keep receiving it that way. If at the end of the three-month trial you haven't enrolled, you will stop receiving your bill via email and only receive your mailed paper bill.

  • Yes, it is. For security and privacy of transactions, a secure password is required to view or pay your bill. We use 128-bit encryption, the safest encryption technology available today. Bear in mind that according to a study by Javelin Strategy & Research, 85 percent of identity theft cases are due to "offline" transactions, such as lost or stolen checkbooks, paper bills or account statements.
  • From your Email Bill Delivery notification email, simply click on the "Maintain Profile" link. Enter your email address, password and login. Then click on "Delete" next to your account number(s).

Changing your information

  • Open the most recent Email Bill Delivery bill notification you received from us. Click on the "maintain your profile" link. Enter your current email address and password on the login screen presented. Click on the link to edit your Email Bill Delivery profile and change your email address and Submit. A confirmation screen will display notifying you that the email address was successfully updated.

Billing and Payment

  • Yes, you can. If you choose to pay electronically, your account will be available to pay online after you enroll in Email Bill Delivery and immediately after receiving your first bill notification email.

  • At the moment, using a credit card to pay through Email Bill Delivery is not available. However, you can pay online by credit card by going to duke-energy.com.

  • Yes, you can use a number of payment methods once you enroll in Email Bill Delivery. You can pay by phone, by mail, online or at a Duke Energy bill payment center. To learn more about your payment choices, visit duke-energy.com

  • You can view your bill details by clicking on the PDF in your Bill Ready notification email. The PDF bill is an exact replica of your paper bill.

Cancelling Service

  • There are two ways to cancel this online payment service: The recommended way to cancel the online payment service is to log in using your customer ID and password and then select "Unenroll" within the main menu page. The second option is to call the Service Installation Customer Care Center. Click the “Contact Us” hyperlink on the home page for contact information.
