Employee Giving Campaign
Duke Energy Progress and its employees pledged to give approximately $3.3 million during 2011 to benefit charitable organizations in the Carolinas and Florida. Employees pledged $2.2 million during the company's annual "Give Where You Live" employee giving campaign and the Duke Energy Progress Foundation provides a 50 percent match.
Duke Energy Progress' employee giving campaign is held annually and provides employees with an opportunity to give from their personal funds to charitable organizations of their choice in the company's service areas.
Energy Neighbor Fund
Duke Energy Progress employees pledged to give more than $300,000 to the Energy Neighbor Fund during 2011 to help our neighbors in need. The Energy Neighbor Fund helps low-income individuals and families cover home energy bills – regardless of their heating source. Customers also give generously to Energy Neighbor Fund. During 2010, customers donated almost $400,000. Visit our Energy Neighbor Fund page to donate today.
Many departments and employee groups at Duke Energy Progress volunteer with their co-workers at local nonprofit agencies. From serving food at a local soup kitchen to tutoring students at afterschool programs, our employees give where they live throughout the year.
