If you like receiving the electronic bill, enroll in Email Bill Delivery to keep receiving it that way. If at the end of the three-month trial you haven't enrolled, you will stop receiving your bill via email and only receive your mailed paper bill.

  • Yes, it is. For security and privacy of transactions, a secure password is required to view or pay your bill. We use 128-bit encryption, the safest encryption technology available today. Bear in mind that according to a study by Javelin Strategy & Research, 85% of identity theft cases are due to "offline" transactions, such as lost or stolen checkbooks, paper bills or account statements.
  • From your Email Bill Delivery notification email, simply click on the "Maintain Profile" link. Enter your email address, password and login. Then click on "Delete" next to your account number(s).

Changing your information

  • Open the most recent Email Bill Delivery bill notification you received from us. Click on the "Maintain Profile" link. Enter your current email address and password on the login screen presented. Click on the link to edit your Email Bill Delivery profile, change your email address and click Submit. A confirmation screen will display notifying you that the email address was successfully updated.

Billing and Payment

  • Yes, you can. If you choose to pay electronically, your account will be available to pay online after you enroll in Email Bill Delivery and immediately after receipt of your first bill notification email.

  • At the moment, using a credit card to pay through Email Bill Delivery is not available. However, you can pay online by credit card by going to duke-energy.com.

  • Yes, you can use a number of payment methods once you enroll in Email Bill Delivery. You can pay by phone, by mail, online or at a Duke Energy bill payment center. To learn more about your payment choices, visit duke-energy.com

  • You can view your bill details by clicking on the PDF in your Bill Ready notification email. The PDF bill is an exact replica of your paper bill.

Cancelling Service

  • There are two ways to cancel this online payment service: The recommended way to cancel the online payment service is to log in using your customer ID and password and then select "Unenroll" within the main menu page. The second option is to call the Service Installation Customer Care Center. Click the “Contact Us” hyperlink on the home page for contact information.

Construction Invoice

  • Yes, a paper construction invoice will be sent to you through U.S. mail in addition to the automated process of Duke Energy construction invoice E-Bill Express website.

  • Yes, paid construction invoices can be found by looking at "Search and Pay my Bills". Construction invoices will be available for 24 months. To print the invoice, use the browser's print function.

  • Yes, you can receive a construction invoice by U.S. postal mail and pay the construction invoice by mail.

  • Yes, invoices must be paid in full within 90 days.

Email Notification

  • You will receive an email notification reminding you that a construction invoice E-Bill is ready for payment only if you participate in the Enroll option.


  • Once you enroll online, the most recent construction invoice is available within two days.

Enrolling

  • Only Web access and a browser are needed. No special hardware or software is required to use this service.

  • After you complete and submit the enrollment form and respond to the activation email, we will start your service immediately. You can then access the service to pay current or future construction invoices. You should begin receiving a construction invoice E-Bill notification immediately if an invoice is currently due or when another invoice is required for payment.

  • Yes, but please be sure to use the correct customer ID number as it appears on the construction invoice.

  • When accessing the Duke Energy construction invoice E-Bill Express homepage there is an enroll option for first time users.

  • Up to three email addresses and two phone numbers can be entered.

  • Yes, under "Manage my Notification Preferences" there is an option to have reminders sent for your account.

  • No, we do not have that option at this time. This service is for construction invoices that are typically for one-time projects with Duke Energy.

  • There is no cost for enrolling in and using this payment site. On the home page, click on "Terms and Conditions" for complete details.

Mobile Device

  • Accessing your account on a mobile device is possible; however, the website does not have a mobile app to download. Please attempt to log in from a laptop or desktop computer. If you continue to have issues with logging into the website through a laptop or desktop, please contact our Service Installation Customer Care Center. Payment

  • The funds for the payment are debited from your bank account or credit card on the date you make the payment. Keep in mind that funds should be available to cover the payment on that date.

  • We recommend that you only pay the amount on the construction invoice.

  • Check the status of the payment by looking at the "Payment Status”." If the status is "Paid," then the payment has been sent. You can also check to see if the funds have been drawn from your bank account, or you can call the Service Installation Customer Care Center to see if they received and credited the payment. Click the “Contact Us” hyperlink on the main home web page for contact information.

  • Making a payment online is similar to making a payment online anywhere else. Select your payment option, input your customer ID and billing ZIP code and input your credit card or bank account information into the required fields.

  • Visa and MasterCard are the two credit card payment options.

  • Payments confirmed before 8 p.m. EST will be reflected on the same business day in E-Bill Express. However, payments confirmed after 8 p.m. EST will be processed and available in E-Bill Express the following day. It takes two to three days after the invoice has been paid for the designer to receive acknowledgement that full invoice amount is paid and work can begin.

After authentication, we use a "cookie" to identify you throughout your session.
