Duke Energy Savings Store
Frequently asked questions
What is the Duke Energy Savings Store?
The Duke Energy Saving Store is an online marketplace that offers the Duke Energy business customer energy saving products. The Store offers energy efficiency products at near-wholesale prices that already include Duke Energy Smart $aver® Incentives, eliminating the need for you to complete a separate incentive application.
Why is Duke Energy offering energy-saving products?
The Duke Energy Saving Store is one of many efforts we have launched to give customers the tools to make a real difference in their energy use and costs.
We know that managing your energy usage can have a big impact on your bottom line. We also understand how important your time is when managing your business. That is why we are offering a quick and easy way for you to purchase energy saving products at discounted prices.
The environment also benefits. Helping our customers use less energy reduces the need for us to run older, less efficient power plants, and can also help delay the need to build new plants.
What types of energy-efficient products will I find in the store?
The Duke Energy Saving Store offers select CFLs, LED Lamps, LED Exit Signs, Low-Watt T8 Lamps, Occupancy Sensors, and Setback Programmable Thermostats at discounted prices. Additional energy efficient products may be added in the future.
If I purchase and install energy-efficient products from the Duke Energy Savings Store, can I also apply for an incentive through the Smart $aver Program?
No. Products sold in the Duke Energy Saving Store are offered at prices that already include the Smart $aver incentives and are therefore ineligible for receiving incentives from any other Duke Energy program.
Are there compliance requirements for products purchased from the Duke Energy Savings Store?
Yes. Purchasers of products from the store must agree to comply with the following:
- You will install the products in accordance with the respective product installation requirements found on each product page.
- You will install the products at the premise address associated with the account number under which the products are purchased within 90 days of receipt.
- You will not resell any products purchased from the Duke Energy Saving Store.
Purchasers must also agree to Duke Energy verification of equipment installation, which may include a site inspection from a Duke Energy representative or Duke Energy agent.
