The World of Energy is located on the shores of Lake Keowee, one of the most pristine lakes in all of South Carolina. While you’re visiting, be sure to walk down to the World of Energy’s peninsula to see the great views. You can also bring lunch and enjoy it from our picnic shelter or take a hike along our nature trail.
Our picnic shelter is free and open to the public. It can also be reserved for large group outings, like family reunions, corporate picnics and school visits. To check availability or book a large group, call (800) 777-1004. Please be sure to review the picnic shelter guidelines before making your reservation.
The nature trail begins just a short walk from the World of Energy’s front doors. It is filled with local wildlife and offers opportunities to learn, as well as play. The trail is approximately ¼ mile long and has several nearby water fountains.
Boat Dock and Fishing Pier
Boaters are invited to travel by water to the World of Energy. We have a boat dock with several slips available for our guests. Fishing is also allowed from our pier, as long as you possess a valid South Carolina fishing license. (Children younger than sixteen years of age are exempt from this requirement.)
