The Fayette Energy Facility is a 620-megawatt, natural gas-fired, combined-cycle plant located in Fayette County, Penn., near the city of Masontown. Commercial operation commenced May 2003. Located in the PJM Interconnect (PJM West), the Fayette facility consists of two natural gas-fired combustion turbines, two heat recovery steam generators and one steam turbine operating in combined-cycle mode. Duke Energy owns 100 percent of the units.
