HeatShare
HeatShare is a Duke Energy sponsored program designed to assist those in need with heating bills during the winter season.
To apply for assistance
HeatShare is administered by The Salvation Army. Eligibility is based upon need and doesn’t necessarily follow government assistance guidelines. An individual must be subject to disconnection of service in order to qualify. Eligible customers may apply for a one-time annual assistance beginning mid-January through May, or until funds are depleted. After the program begins in mid-January, contact The Salvation Army at 513-762-5636 for additional information or to apply for assistance.
To make a donation
If you would like to share the warmth with those less fortunate in your community, contributions can be made in two ways. You may add a donation to your monthly Duke Energy bill. Most monthly bills have a special notation in the upper right-hand corner to mark your HeatShare donation. Write in the dollar amount you would like to give (in even dollar amounts) and add the amount to your bill payment.
You may also mail donations (check or money order only). Checks should be made payable to The Salvation Army/HeatShare program. Please mail donations to:

e-Bill customer donations
Our e-Bill customers can easily make a donation by first e-mailing us the dollar amount you would like allocated to HeatShare. Then, please be sure to change your total e-Bill payment amount to include your donation to HeatShare.
All donations are tax deductible and are forwarded to The Salvation Army for distribution to those in need.
If you have additional questions about making a contribution to HeatShare, contact us via e-mail or call us at 513-421-9500 or toll-free 1-800-544-6900.
