To help ensure your checking account information is secure, your original signature is needed on the BillPayer 2000 enrollment form.

Is there a fee to use BillPayer 2000?
Yes. This service is provided by Midwest Payment Systems, a partner company, which charges a 30 cents convenience fee per transaction. This convenience fee will appear as a separate item on your checking account statement.
Is it safe to use BillPayer 2000 to pay my energy bills?
Yes. Your payments are handled safely, accurately and confidentially through our BillPayer 2000 partner, Fifth Third Bank in Cincinnati, Ohio.
How will I know that my bill has been paid by BillPayer 2000?
When you receive your Duke Energy bill, BillPayer 2000 is also notified of your bill amount and due date. BillPayer 2000 automatically pays the bill on the due date. Transactions will appear on your monthly bank statement along with a 30 cents convenience fee.
I’ve mailed in my enrollment form. When will BillPayer 2000 begin automatically drafting my bill amount from my bank account?
We will immediately send you a confirmation letter when we receive your completed application. In the meantime, you should continue to pay your bills as usual.
