Opting On/Off Customer List

The Public Utilities Commission of Ohio requires the local utility to provide certified suppliers with a current list of its customers. The lists will include name, address, and usage data. Suppliers can then use this information to market their services to current utility customers. Your benefits when remaining on the list include:

  • Continued savings – increase your chances for finding a lower-cost provider of generation
  • Take advantage of diverse opportunities from suppliers that may offer green power, packaging of several energy-related products, more payment options, etc.

Opting On or Off the List

If you would like to have your name excluded from or added to this list, contact Duke Energy's Call Center at 513.421.9500 or 800.544.6900, or click on the link below to send notification via the Interent. In the comments and questions section, please provide the following information:

  • "opting off customer list" or "added to customer list"
  • Name on Duke Energy bill
  • Account number
  • Service address
  • Daytime phone number

Note: It’s important to realize that opting off this list does not guarantee that a supplier will not contact you as suppliers may gather your name through other means.

The customer list is updated quarterly. You may opt off or back on the list at any time.

If you have previously notified Duke Energy to be removed from the list, you do not need to contact us again unless you wish to be placed back on the list.
