Waiver Notification Information Business & Large Business Customers
Rider SRT (System Reliability Tracker) Waiver Notification
Business customers choosing to avoid Rider SRT, must provide notice of their intent to avoid these riders and must switch or already be switched to a certified supplier through 2011. View Waiver Notification Form.
Requirements to avoid Rider SRT:
- Customer must be purchasing competitive retail electric generation service from a participating certified supplier in Duke Energy's Electric Customer Choice Program.
- Customer must provide a minimum of 60-days notice to Duke Energy in advance of the effective date of the waiver. The effective date is the regularly scheduled meter reading date which occurs no less than 60-days from the date of Duke Energy receiving the Waiver Notification Form.
- Within 30 calendar days of Duke Energy's receipt of the Waiver Notification Form, the customer must either sign Duke Energy's Customer Agreement or provide Duke Energy acceptable proof of their certified supplier contract that secures generation service through December 31, 2011.

If you are a business customer and wish to notify Duke Energy of your intent to avoid Rider SRT, follow the instructions below to compile the Waiver Notification Form.
Enter all requested contact information in the Waiver Notification Form fields. "Customer Name" is the name of the customer as it appears on all Duke Energy's bill(s) for the account(s).
1. Enter account number(s) - the first 10 digits of your account number(s) without dashes or spaces.

2. Click Submit Notification.
Note:
- You may submit up to 10 accounts on each form.
- Duke Energy will confirm the receipt of this notification in an e-mail, indicating date received, and next steps.
