How to Cancel an Enrollment with an Electric or Gas Supplier Business & Large Business Customers

Ohio Business and Large Business Customers can cancel an enrollment with an electric supplier unless the enrollment is for an account considered mercantile (>700,000 kWh annually or a national account). If so, the enrollment cannot be cancelled.

Ohio Business and Large Business Customers can cancel an enrollment with a gas supplier and remain with Duke Energy Ohio or their current supplier.

Cancelling under a Governmental Aggregation

If you've received a letter regarding a governmental aggregation where all accounts in a local jurisdiction are enrolled with an electric or gas supplier you have the right to cancel your enrollment and remain with Duke Energy Ohio. Accounts considered mercantile (>700,000 kWh or a national account) are not included in governmental aggregations.

Cancelling under Other Situations

If you've recently decided to enroll with an electric or gas supplier but have changed your mind and would now like to cancel your enrollment and remain with Duke Energy Ohio or your current supplier, you may do so.

Please note that you cannot cancel an enrollment with an electric supplier for an account considered mercantile (>700,000 kWh annually or a national account).
