The Plans cover only repair or replacement of the covered item to the extent due to normal wear and tear beginning 31 days after the enrollment date and while coverage is effective. The Plans do not cover any other loss, cost or damage and Duke Energy shall have no additional liability or obligation under the Plans. Other restrictions apply, including credit requirements. All services will be performed by Duke Energy authorized service technicians.

The Home Repair Plans are not part of the regulated services offered by Duke Energy and are not in any way sanctioned by the North Carolina Utilities Commission or the Public Service Commission of South Carolina. Purchasers of the Home Repair Plans will receive no preference or special treatment from Duke Energy in regards to their regulated electric service. A customer does not have to buy the Home Repair Plans in order to receive the same safe and reliable electric service from Duke Energy.
