Duke Energy to Provide Alternatives for Persons Unable to Attend the Annual Meeting Thursday May 4, 2009

CHARLOTTE, N.C. -

Duke Energy will make arrangements for those unable to attend the company’s annual shareholders’ meeting Thursday at 10 a.m. ET, in the O.J. Miller Auditorium at the company’s headquarters at 526 South Church St.

Shareholders have two options:

  • An audio webcast will be available through the investors’ section of the company’s Web site at www.duke-energy.com/investors/.
  • Participants can dial 800-895-0231within the United States. International callers should use 785-424-1054. The conference ID is Duke Annual.

Duke Energy CEO Jim Rogers will address shareholders during the meeting, which will include an update on the company, election of the board of directors and other business.
