Duke Energy Shareholder Meeting on Merger to be Held Aug. 23 Aug. 11, 2011
CHARLOTTE, N.C. -
Duke Energy will hold a special meeting for shareholders Tuesday, Aug. 23, at 10 a.m. ET to vote on the company’s proposed merger with Progress Energy. The proposed merger was announced Jan. 10.
The meeting will take place in O.J. Miller Auditorium in the company’s offices at 526 South Church St.
Shareholders unable to attend the meeting in person have two options:
- An audio webcast will be available through the investors’ section of the company’s Web site at www.duke-energy.com/investors/.
- Participants can dial 800-862-9098 within the United States. International callers should use 785-424-1051. The conference ID is Duke Annual.
Duke Energy CEO Jim Rogers will discuss the benefits of the merger for shareholders, customers and other key stakeholder groups, as well as the merger integration planning process.
