MEDIA ADVISORY: DUKE ENERGY AND CINERGY TO HOST ANALYST MEETING ON SEPT. 15; EVENT TO BE WEBCASTCHARLOTTE, N.C. and CINCINNATI – Top executives from Duke Energy and Cinergy will update the financial community on the companies’ planned merger during an analyst meeting in Charlotte on Thursday, Sept. 15, 2005. Both Duke Energy chairman of the board and chief executive officer Paul M. Anderson and James E. Rogers, chairman and chief executive officer of Cinergy, will present, as will Duke Energy’s David Hauser, group vice president and chief financial officer, and Tom O’Connor, group vice president and integration executive.
