UNION GAS ANNOUNCES A SECOND BINDING OPEN SEASON FOR 2007 DAWN-PARKWAY PIPELINE CAPACITY

CHATHAM, Ontario -- Beginning today, in response to continuing requests for service, Union Gas will conduct a second binding open season for pipeline capacity on the Dawn-Parkway natural gas transportation system. Service would commence on Nov. 1, 2007.

An open season held in February for 2007 service on this segment of the pipeline drew strong interest.

Shippers seeking to transport natural gas on the Union Gas Dawn-Parkway transportation system, effective Nov. 1, 2007, are encouraged to participate. Shippers may bid on firm transportation from Dawn to either Parkway or Kirkwall in order to reach growing markets in Ontario, Quebec and the U.S. northeastern region.

Union Gas offers a unique service in the transportation market, providing access to its Dawn natural gas storage facility. With more than 150 billion cubic feet of high-deliverability storage capacity, Dawn is the largest storage facility in Canada. Ten major pipelines with access to all major supply basins interconnect at Dawn, providing a key market hub with reliable supplies and good price liquidity.

“Union Gas continues to respond to the transportation needs of power producers in Ontario as well as natural gas suppliers serving markets in eastern Canada and the northeastern United States”, said Greg Ebel, Union Gas president. “Sourcing gas supplies at a reliable market hub of high liquidity continues to be a primary focus of our customers. Dawn provides customers with natural gas supplies from a diverse portfolio of production basins, and provides access to storage to meet changing market demands.”

The open season runs from Oct. 3 - 18, 2005. Those wishing to submit binding requests for service should contact:
