CHARLOTTE, N.C. -- Duke Energy will webcast its annual shareholders meeting on Thursday, May 13, 2004, at 10 a.m. ET.

The event will take place at O.J. Miller Auditorium at the company’s Energy Center headquarters located at 526 South Church Street in Charlotte, N.C. Duke Energy Chairman and Chief Executive Officer Paul Anderson and President and Chief Operating Officer Fred Fowler will address shareholders during the meeting.
