DAVID HAUSER ELECTED CFO OF DUKE ENERGY

Hauser is a 30-year employee of Duke Energy. During his first 20 years with the company, he held various accounting positions, including controller. He later served as vice president, procurement services and materials. He was named senior vice president of global asset development in 1997 and, in 1998, was named senior vice president and treasurer.
A native of
Hauser is a board member of the North Carolina Zoological Society. He is a past chairman of the Southeastern Electric Exchange Accounting and Finance Division, Edison Electric Institute’s Federal Energy Regulatory Commission Accounting Liaison Group, and Edison Electric Institute General Accounting Committee. He is a member of the North Carolina Association of Certified Public Accountants, American Institute of Certified Public Accountants, Financial Executives Institute and St. Mark’s
He and his wife, Nancy, have two daughters and a son.
