DUKE POWER'S RESTORATION EFFORTS NEARING COMPLETION
81 percent of 131,356 affected customers have had service restored. Current outages include:

Crews will continue to work around-the –clock until all customers are restored. Storm-related outages are expected to be restored by Sunday evening.
- Customers still without electricity can call 1-800-POWERON, then select Option 3 to learn their individual estimated time of restoration. Spanish-speaking customers should dial 1-800-943-6914.
- More than 2,000 workers have replaced poles, reset equipment and restrung miles of wire in Triad and Triangle communities impacted by Isabel’s powerful wind and rain.
“Utility crews, emergency personnel and local and state agencies have coordinated their efforts to implement an effective restoration plan,” said Theopolis Holeman, Duke Power’s senior vice president for power delivery. “We appreciate our customers’ patience and their spirit of helping one another in this time of need.” “Once we have completed restorations to our customers’, we will begin to release crews to other utilities as they are requested.
