DUKE ENERGY WILL RESPOND TO REQUEST FOR DOCUMENTS
CHARLOTTE, N.C. – Duke Energy said that it has received a Western District of North Carolina Grand Jury subpoena for documents related to last year’s audit by North Carolina and South Carolina utilities commissions of Duke Power’s regulatory reporting from 1998 to 2000. The company received the subpoena Friday afternoon. The company said it would fully cooperate with the inquiry, as it has with previous reviews of this issue by the state commissions.
