INGAA Elects Duke's Fowler as Chairman; Sets New Slate of Officers

WASHINGTON-- The Board of Directors of the Interstate Natural Gas Association of America (INGAA) this week elected Fred J. Fowler, President of the Energy Transmission Group at Duke Energy Corporation, as INGAA's Chairman of the Board for 2003 during the association's October 15^th board meeting.

INGAA completed its slate of officers by electing William J. Haener (Executive Vice President and COO Natural Gas, CMS Energy Corporation) as first vice chairman, and Harold N. Kvisle (President and CEO, TransCanada PipeLines Limited) as second vice chairman. Jerald V. Halvorsen was re-elected President, and Donald F. Santa Jr. was elected Executive Vice President, of INGAA.

Fowler succeeds John W. Somerhalder II (President, Pipeline Group, El Paso Corporation) as INGAA Chairman.

INGAA is the North American association representing the interstate and interprovincial natural gas pipeline industry.
