GRIDSOUTH SPONSORS SUSPEND IMPLEMENTATION PROJECT AND POSTPONE REGULATORY FILINGS
– GridSouth sponsors Duke Energy, CP&L Energy and South Carolina Electric & Gas (SCANA) will delay filing applications with their state commission and will suspend the GridSouth Implementation project. Some activities will continue for a few weeks to preserve project accomplishments for use in the future. Postponing the filings will provide the sponsors time to review the effects of regulatory initiatives that are beginning now and due for completion later this year. The postponement will also allow additional time for the sponsors to receive and consider input from stakeholders and regulators.
