HOUSTON – Duke Energy business unit Duke Capital Partners LLC has named F. T. (Chip) Webster executive vice president and managing director.

Webster brings more than 25 years of energy and corporate finance experience to Duke Capital Partners, most recently serving as partner and managing director of Arthur Andersen’s Energy Corporate Finance practice in North America. He also spent 20 years in corporate banking where he rose to the position of executive vice president and head of Energy and Corporate Banking for First City Bancorporation of Texas. In his role with Duke Capital Partners, Webster will be responsible for the company’s Houston operation.

A native of Houston, Webster earned his undergraduate and master’s degrees in business administration at Texas Christian University and completed the graduate banking school programs at Southern Methodist University and the University of Oklahoma. He is a long-standing member of the American Petroleum Institute, the Independent Petroleum Association of America and the Houston Producers’ Forum, among other energy industry organizations. He and his wife Elizabeth have five children.
