DUKE ENGINEERING & SERVICES NAMES DON BLACKMON VICE PRESIDENT OF POWER DELIVERY GROUP

CHARLOTTE, N.C. -- Duke Engineering & Services has named Donald B. Blackmon vice president of its power delivery business line effective immediately. Blackmon is responsible for overseeing the extensive portfolio of design and maintenance services offered by the group as well as leading business development efforts.

"Our power delivery team is ready to meet the latest challenges within the electricity and communications marketplaces brought on by rapid growth in demand and industry restructuring."

Blackmon brings more than 30 years of industry experience to the position. He previously was director of business development for Duke Engineering's federal government business group and has managed a number of process and service improvement projects for several Duke Energy business affiliates. He replaces Phil Ayers who retired.
