CHARLOTTE, N.C. – Current and potential investors of Duke Energy will get a chance to interact with top executives via the Internet as the company rolls out its Wired Stock Talk on Wednesday, Oct. 25.

The event, scheduled for 7:30 p.m. EDT, will feature a presentation from the company on its strategy and recent earnings report – followed by a live interactive question and answer session.

"Whether an investor has a million shares or one hundred, everyone is interested in following their investments," said Sue Becht, vice president of investor relations. "Duke Energy is committed to communicating to all interested investors – from someone who might become a small shareholder to the head of the largest mutual fund."

Becht and Richard Osborne, executive vice president, chief risk officer and chief financial officer, will conduct the session from the company’s headquarters in Charlotte. They will make a brief presentation and spend the remainder of the time responding to questions submitted by Internet participants.

"We want to talk about what’s on peoples’ minds," said Becht.
