GREG BILINSKI NAMED VICE PRESIDENT, GAS TRANSMISSION, FOR DUKE ENERGY

HOUSTON – Duke Energy has announced the appointment of Greg P. Bilinski as vice president of transmission for Texas Eastern Transmission Corporation and Algonquin Gas Transmission Corporation. He will report to Theopolis Holeman, senior vice president, transmission and capacity management.

"Greg’s performance in all of his operational roles to date make him especially well-suited for this new position," said Holeman. "His engineering background combined with his business education and experience are a perfect match for this challenging role."

Most recently, Bilinski served as general manager, gas systems management. He joined the company in 1975 as an engineer for gas operations in West Chester, Penn. In 1981, he was transferred to Baytown, Texas, as engineering supervisor and retained that title when he returned to West Chesterin 1984.

After becoming operations supervisor in 1985, Bilinski was named assistant general manager of operations in 1986. He became the Lebanon, Tenn., area general manager in 1987, Nashville, Tenn., division manager in 1989 and transferred to Houston- as general manager of Texas Eastern’s field operations in 1992. In April 1995, Bilinski was named general manager, transmission responsible for the financial services, technical services, laboratory services and right-of-way and land areas in addition to Texas Eastern’s field operations. He was named general manager, gas systems management in January 1999.

He received a bachelor of science degree in electrical engineering in 1975 and a master of business administration degree in 1987 from Widener University in Chester, Penn. Bilinski has also completed the Duke Advanced Management Program at Duke University’s Fuqua School of Business.
