The companies share a long-term commitment to the nuclear industry and have been actively involved in license renewal issues for more than 10 years. "This teaming relationship will enable us to deliver fully integrated license renewal projects at a lower cost that can only be achieved with the combined experience, resources and processes offered by the DE&S/SCIENTECH team," said Bill Campbell, DE&S Nuclear Group executive vice president.

Harold Burton, SCIENTECH Generation Services senior vice-president said, "DE&S and SCIENTECH bring together the perspectives of both the owner-operator and nuclear regulator, which enables us to offer a breadth of license renewal services that is unmatched in the nuclear industry."

The DE&S/SCIENTECH team has contributed to each of the four nuclear plant license renewal applications submitted to the Nuclear Regulatory Commission (NRC), the first of which recently received NRC approval.
