CHARLOTTE, N.C. -- Duke Engineering & Services (DE&S) and SCIENTECH Inc. today announced the formation of a teaming agreement to provide plant license renewal services to the nuclear power industry. The companies share a long-term commitment to the nuclear industry and have been actively involved in license renewal issues for more than 10 years. The DE&S/SCIENTECH team offers full-scope license renewal project planning and execution capabilities from initial plant strategy and decision analysis through completion of the license renewal process.

"This teaming relationship will enable us to deliver fully integrated license renewal projects at a lower cost that can only be achieved with the combined experience, resources and processes offered by the DE&S/SCIENTECH team," said Bill Campbell, DE&S Nuclear Group executive vice president.

The DE&S/SCIENTECH team has contributed to each of the four nuclear plant license renewal applications submitted to the Nuclear Regulatory Commission (NRC), the first of which recently received NRC approval. The team also is involved in five other license renewal projects scheduled for submittal to the NRC over the next two years.
