DUKE ENERGY BUSINESS UNIT NAMES NORTH CAROLINA & SOUTH CAROLINA REGIONAL BUSINESS DEVELOPMENT TEAM

CHARLOTTE, N.C. -- DukeSolutions, a subsidiary of Duke Energy Corporation, today named its business development team for the eastern and central regions of North Carolina and South Carolina, creating the framework to enhance its national presence in the integrated energy services marketplace.

The team is based in Wilmington, N.C. Philip Hatcher and John Glasgow make up the team that collectively brings more than 32 years of experience in energy management to industrial, commercial and institutional customers.

Hatcher, district manager of the Wilmington office, comes to DukeSolutions from MEAG Power, where he was a manager of energy services and wholesale markets. Previously, he worked as vice president of Stackhouse, Inc., a leading southeast utility contractor and also held several engineering and sales positions at Carolina Power & Light Company. Hatcher has a bachelor of science degree in industrial engineering from North Carolina State University.

Prior to assuming the position of market manager for DukeSolutions, Glasgow held several management positions at Carolina Power & Light. He is a registered professional engineer in North Carolina. He received an undergraduate degree in mechanical engineering from North Carolina State University and his graduate degree from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill.

The two have extensive energy-supply and demand-side engineering skills, and experience in managing the needs of medium and large industrial, commercial and institutional customers. Together, they bring to DukeSolutions expertise in the energy systems of a wide range of industries.
