CHARLOTTE, N.C. -- DukeSolutions, a subsidiary of Duke Energy Corporation, today named its Georgia business development team, creating the framework to enhance its national presence in the integrated energy services marketplace.

The team is based in Atlanta at Two Piedmont Center. Jeff Hickman, John Calvert and Clark Wiedetz make up the team that collectively brings more than 36 years of energy management and sales experience to industrial, commercial, institutional and government customers.

Hickman, district manager of the Atlanta office, came to DukeSolutions in 1997. He spent the last year working as business development manager at the company’s Charlotte headquarters. Before arriving at DukeSolutions, Hickman worked at Johnson Controls, where he spent seven years in various positions, including area service operations manager and account executive. He has a bachelor of science degree in industrial engineering from the University of Tennessee.

Prior to assuming the position of business development manager for DukeSolutions, Calvert was the southeast director of business development for Evantage, a division of Virginia Power. Previously, he held management positions with several leading energy companies, including A&C Enercom, Heery Energy Consultants and Florida Power & Light Company. Calvert received a degree in mechanical engineering from Georgia Institute of Technology.

Wiedetz’s prior career posts include southeast regional manager of Fatigue Technology, a custom tooling and engineering company serving the aerospace industry. He also gained valuable experience working for Teledyne Allvac, an industrial products company. Wiedetz holds a bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering from Georgia Institute of Technology.

The three have extensive energy supply and demand-side engineering skills and experience in managing the needs of medium and large industrial, commercial and institutional customers. Together, they bring to DukeSolutions expertise in the energy systems of a wide range of industries including manufacturing, pulp and paper, aerospace, high technology and commercial ventures.
