TEPPCO ELECTS FRED FOWLER TO BOARD OF DIRECTORS

HOUSTON, November 20 - Texas Eastern Products Pipeline Company (TEPPCO), general partner of TEPPCO Partners, L.P., (NYSE:TPP) today announced the election of Fred J. Fowler to TEPPCO’s Board of Directors. He succeeds Paul M. Anderson, who resigned from the board effective November 15.

In addition to his election to the board, Fowler also will assume the position of vice chairman of the Board of Directors and chairman of the Compensation Committee.

Fowler, 52, is group president of energy transmission for Duke Energy Corporation headquartered in Charlotte, N.C. In this position, he is responsible for the performance of Duke Energy’s interstate natural gas pipelines, its electric transmission system and its gas gathering and processing business. Fowler joined Panhandle Eastern Corporation in 1985 and served in a variety of positions in the areas of marketing, transportation and exchange, culminating in his election to the position of group vice president for PanEnergy Corp in 1996. He was named to his current position following PanEnergy’s merger with Duke Power Company in 1997.

Fowler is an active member of the Natural Gas Association of Houston, the American Gas Association and the Interstate Natural Gas Association of America. He also serves on the board of directors of the Gas Research Institute and on the executive committee of Houston’s Theatre Under the Stars.

Fowler received a bachelors degree in finance from Oklahoma State University in Stillwater, Oklahoma.

TE Products Pipeline Company, Limited Partnership, the operating partnership, is one of the largest common carrier pipelines of refined petroleum products and liquefied petroleum gases in the United States.
