TEXAS EASTERN TRANSMISSION CORPORATION TEXAS EASTERN TRANSMISSION CORPORATION TO PROVIDE ADDITIONAL SERVICE TO PECO AND MOBIL

Texas Eastern Transmission Corporation has reactivated a natural gas pipeline to provide additional natural gas service to PECO Energy Company and new service to Mobil Oil Corp.’s Paulsboro, N.J., refinery.

Texas Eastern began the restoration of the 20-inch diameter pipeline at the end of last year at a cost of $14 million. Restoration included testing of the pipeline, replacement of certain pipe segments and reactivation of2l miles of pipeline from Eagle, Pa., to new delivery points near Hershey’s Mill in Chester County, Pa., and Brookhaven in Delaware County, Pa. The reactivation of this line and the construction of the two new delivery points to PECO Energy will provide up to 120 million cubic feet per day (MMcf/d) of additional firm market area service for PECO Energy and 8 MMcf/d for Mobil.

PECO Energy Company is a Philadelphia-based electric and gas utility, which delivers electricity to 1.5 million customers and natural gas to more than 400,000 customers.
