Cinergy/ULH&P Offers Businesses Rewards For Saving Energy

CINCINNATI, October 12, 2005 — Cinergy/ULH&P is offering a cash incentive program to businesses in its Northern Kentucky service area. The Commercial & Industrial Energy Efficiency Rebate Program is designed to reward commercial electric customers that install high-efficiency motors and pumps, lighting and cooling equipment in new or existing facilities.

“Mechanical equipment and lighting typically account for the majority of an electric commercial customer’s bill,” said Todd Arnold, vice president Customer Care. “Participation in this program is an excellent way to help a business cut operating expenses and offset the cost of new equipment. Through these programs we hope to save our ULH&P customers over one million kWh per year.”

To qualify for the incentive program, a business must be a non-residential electric customer of Cinergy/ULH&P not in rate group TT (Time-of-Day Rate for Service at Transmission Voltage). The customer is also required to submit an application within 90 days after the eligible equipment has been installed.

The program has been approved by the Kentucky Public Service Commission and is available to qualified electric commercial and industrial customers through December 2009.
