Lake Hickory - 5 Day Message HistoryINACTIVELast Update: 6/14/2013 10:45:23 AM The upper Catawba River Basin is still experiencing the runoff from heavy rainfall. Lakes James, Rhodhiss and Hickory are not expected to go over 100 feet. Lookout Shoals Lake is spilling at 100.7 feet. To continue moving water through the system we have a gate partially open at Oxford Dam. We continue to closely monitor conditions and operate the system to reduce impacts. Updated lake levels are available any time at Duke-Energy.com and at 800-829-5253. As always, we encourage those living along lakes, streams and other low-lying and flood-prone areas to pay special attention to changing weather conditions and take any necessary precautions. We will provide additional updates if conditions change. Catawba County residents who live around Lookout Shoals should update their contact information with emergency management at www.catawbacountync.gov/alert or by calling 828-465-8230 during regular business hours. |
