Lake KeoweeACTIVELast Update: 10/15/2009 3:40:48 PM Recent rainfall continues to help the basin but not nearly enough to recover completely from the long drought. Lakes Keowee and Jocassee are managed as a system. Returning Jocassee to more normal levels has been the priority. Weather forecasts indicate a drier than normal fall and winter so water is being stored as much as possible in Jocassee in the event the forecast holds true. Downstream releases from Keowee continue as required. ******************************************************** ACTIVE Last Update: 6/10/2009 5:20:36 PM Drought conditions have improved in the area. Lake pump watering is now allowed on Tuesdays and Saturdays.
