Special Recreational Opportunities for Canoeists and Kayakers
Duke Energy has some special recreational flow opportunities coming over the next several months for fans of canoeing and kayaking. Four Duke Energy hydroelectric stations -- Bridgewater, Oxford, Wylie and Wateree -- will host these opportunities between May 2007 and September 2007.
August 27, 2007 Update: Persistent drought conditions, declining lake levels and streamflows has caused Duke to declare a C-W LIP Stage 2 drought condition. Saturday recreation flows from the Bridgewater and Oxford Hydroelectric Stations will be discontinued effective immediately for the duration of the drought.
