Energy Star® Products & Rebates

Make the pledge to “Change a Light, Change the World,” one light at a time.

Duke Energy offers programs to encourage customers to save energy and money by purchasing energy efficient products. Some qualifying Energy STAR® products you purchase for your home may be eligible for rebates and/or discounts.

Compact Fluorescent Light Bulbs: In-Store Rebates

Compact fluorescent light bulbs (CFLs) use up to 75% less energy than a typical incandescent light bulb and last up to ten times longer. Duke Energy recommends replacing your existing bulbs in your home’s five most frequently used light fixtures with ENERGY STAR CFLs.

To support the "Change a Light, Change the World" program, Duke Energy is offering in-store rebates on qualifying ENERGY STAR CFL bulbs at participating retailers in the Northern Kentucky area. For spring 2008, discounts on CFLs are available at participating retailers from April 15 through June 15, while supplies last.

To receive your bulbs at a discounted offer:

  • Visit one of the participating retailers.
  • Purchase one 5-pack of qualifying ENERGY STAR compact fluorescent light bulbs.
  • Fill out an in-store rebate form to receive a $5 instant rebate on the 5-pack of CFL bulbs.

(Only Kentucky electric customers of Duke Energy qualify for in-store rebates.)
