Duke Energy has added a new way to pay your energy bill. They're called Pay Agents and they're in your area to provide you greater ease and more convenience at no charge.What is a Pay Agent?
A Pay Agent is an authorized retailer that accepts Duke Energy payments. Upon receipt of a payment, the cashier enters the billing details into the data terminal and promptly provides a receipt of the transaction. It's that easy.
Using a Pay Agent: Three Easy Steps
- Choose a convenient Pay Agent.
- Bring your bill stub or account number to the cashier with your payment (cash, check or money order).
- Take your receipt from the cashier.

You can also pay your energy bill in person at our customer service offices. Please bring your current bill with you in order to save time and ensure that your payment is posted properly.
