One Time Payment with Western Union Speedpay®

Yes. Duke Energy has partnered with Western Union Speedpay® to provide you with the option of using your credit card or electronic check to make payments. The $12.95 convenience fee is the amount Speedpay charges, per transaction, to cover processing costs associated with handling credit card and electronic debit payments. Other companies are able to add the processing costs of these requests to the overall pricing of their products and services. Because Duke Energy is a regulated utility, we are unable to do that. Only customers who chose to use this service will be charged the convenience fee.

This fee will be displayed as a separate line item on your credit card or checking account statement. There is a maximum payment amount of $10,000.00 per transaction for non-residential customers.
